Appointment signals company’s next-stage growth ambition
n2s, a rapidly expanding IT Lifecycle Management provider, today announced the appointment of James Bates as Chief Executive Officer.
James brings to n2s a wealth of senior management, corporate sales, supply chain and procurement experience from a career spent in industry and electronics distribution. He joins n2s from electronics components distributor Rapid Electronics where he was instrumental in transforming the company’s procurement supply chains and driving significant sales growth during his seven-year tenure as Managing Director. In 2020 James also headed up Rapid’s start-up EV charging venture – Replenishh – expanding the business into a thriving nationwide operation in under three years.
James previously spent over a decade in various leadership roles at multinational industrial and electronics group RS Components. This included the development of strategic partnerships with corporate procurement teams, major manufacturers and integrators to create value from their indirect supply strategies. Prior to this, as a design engineer, James was involved in the design, testing and manufacture of sub-sea gas and fibre optic cables at JDR Cable Systems.
“I am delighted and highly motivated by the opportunity of leading n2s’s onward trajectory as a major player and innovator in IT Lifecycle Management,” said James Bates, Chief Executive Officer, n2s. “The business is poised for significant growth over the next three years and has the technical expertise, operational structure, processing capacity and investment in place to support this. Our strong management team is passionate about the huge market opportunity for n2s to be a global game-changer at the centre of delivering a truly circular and sustainable economy for IT.
“Redefining the technology lifecycle will make n2s the innovation partner for responsible organisations wanting to act securely and compliantly, maximise returns from decommissioned hardware, operate sustainably and ethically, and prove their contribution to circularity. Key to our success will be driving up IT asset volumes by leveraging existing and new relationships with major enterprise and OEM clients, underpinned by super-efficient digital supply chains and scalable service offerings across secure hardware deinstallation and refurbishment, resale, and sustainable end of life disposal – backed by granular AI-enabled ESG reporting tools.”
