Leadership

Jack Gomarsall is a founding Director of N2S which he set up in 2002.  Before this he was employed by BICC Cables in their metal recovery programme which involved the recycling of all types of non-ferrous and precious metals. In fact, Jack has been involved personally with the recovery and processing of telecommunications equipment within the industry for over 40 years starting his first business in 1980. He is currently a board member of the British Metal Recycling Association (BMRA).

During the telecom industry’s rapid global expansion in the 1980s, Jack was aware early on of the need for a company not only to have the expertise to de-install telecommunications equipment, but also to re-supply parts and systems to the end user. This proved to be highly relevant and successful business approach with his company achieving targets of reusing up to 35% of obsolete equipment and recycling the metals from the residue to less than 1% landfill.

Jack is married with 2 children, Andrew and Emily. Andrew is well known as England’s Rugby scrum half in the 2003 and 2007 World Cups, with a total of 37 caps and 2 World Cup medals.  Jack also played rugby for 6 different clubs up and down the country before finally hanging up his boots and has travelled worldwide supporting Andrew in his career.

Mike Fennings is a Director at N2S. With over 28 years experience in the telecoms services market, the majority of this time was in a variety of customer service roles within BT. Starting as a trainee, Mike became an installation manager at the Stock Exchange during the ‘Big Bang’ programme in the mid 1980s. He went on to become a Senior Programme Manager for a number of high profile network uplifts and one of his final roles with BT was as a BT Partnership Director for a Global Service Integrator.

He has a passion for providing the very best customer experience, as he demonstrated in these roles, and has managed the delivery of complex global networks with large virtual teams for some of the world’s largest companies and organisations.

In 2007 Mike left BT to become a Director at N2S where he has the opportunity to deploy his existing skills in the development of N2S’s decommissioning and recycling services. His main role is to develop and extend the existing customer base. He is also responsible for ensuring that all ongoing customer projects are run to the highest standards of quality and timeliness, to meet fully customers’ expectations.

Mike is married with 2 children, likes to holiday in Italy and enjoys cycling up hills. Having played rugby for over 24 years, he now coaches his local under 9’s team.
